Why I am better than a bot
I just went to a class on AI and was blown away on the new tech that is out there. But the big question is “are bots replacing human services? “ I would argue that in my business, AI is a great tool, but does not replace the human interactions or senses that a bot just can’t compete with especially in representing Sellers and Buyers in Park City, UT.
I think most people can agree that Zillow is a great tool, but its values are not always accurate. It uses an algorithm based on recent sales. It does not take in the views, location and let’s admit the smell or feel of the home. Most of my clients are buyers out of state and so they want someone to find properties that fit their needs and have someone vet it for them before they spend the money to come out and see it in person. Although there are plenty of sales from site unseen properties, I find that many of them fall out of contract once the buyer visits the property due to many of the reasons I mentioned above.
A bot can give you information, but you really need an expert to verify the information you find. For an example, when I have symptoms of not feeling well, I usually always go to the internet first and find out what I might possibly have. I usually get a range of possibilities from not so serious to a possible death sentence. If the symptoms get worse, I am going to see a doctor to get their expert opinion and verify if it is serious or not. What is different in this example is I actually save my clients time so they can spend more time doing the things they love.
As much as my luxury buyers and sellers like tech, they still want a live personable body for many reasons that I provide in my services. I study the market conditions, visit open houses, do Facetime tours for my clients and share local secrets and tips to save time and money. I can give you the local neighbor opinion that a bot just can’t gather. I can save time by arranging and scheduling the tours so that my clients can spend more time experiencing the lifestyle while they visit. I save them time by educating out of state clients on the Utah rules and regulations of buying real estate compared to other states. During negotiation I use skills and tactics to better read and understand the people we are working with. I have built strong network relationships so you don’t have to fall into tourist traps or vendors with bad reputations. Giving clients a peace of mind even when we hit bumps in the road during a transaction. Did I mention integrity, sincerity, and someone who truly cares about your purchase?
I love AI and already using some of the new technology they offer. But AI is a tool that helps my business not a replacement for the service a reputable real estate agent provides.
